ASHIANA HOUSING, RAHEJA DEVELOPERS TIE UP WITH SNAPDEAL TO SELL HOMES, GENERATE LEADS

Online home sales seems be catching the attention of more and more real estate developers with Delhi-based Ashiana Housing and Raheja Developers being the latest to join the bandwagon through a tie up with e-commerce portal Snapdeal.

While Ashiana Housing has listed its properties on Snapdeal for sales, Raheja Developers has signed an advertising tie up with the portal, where the traffic is diverted from Snapdeal to their website for further bookings.
“We have seen a definite surge in traffic on our website though this partnership, where we touched about 5,000 hits per day,” said Nayan Raheja, executive director, Raheja Developers.
The company has a tie up with a portal called Bookmyhouse.com, which works as a backend transaction portal for developers to directly manage and sell their inventories to buyers.
“I think online is a good medium to generate enquiries, but for real sales, look and feel is very important in real estate,” Raheja added.
According to the Snapdeal website, Ashiana Housing has listed a total of 11 projects for sale, with a flat booking fee of Rs 10,000. The company declined to comment.
However, Snapdeal confirmed the development.
“Both Raheja Developers and Ashiana Housing entered into alliance in the month of May,” Snapdeal said in an emailed response.
Snapdeal started its online home sales vertical in partnership with the affordable homes subsidiary of Tata Housing Development Company, Tata Value Homes, in August 2014.
Recently, country’s largest developer DLF had also tied-up with Snapdeal to sell its apartments and offer 1% discount to potential home buyers. DLF offered about 50 flats in eight housing projects across the country in a price range of Rs 34 lakh to Rs 3 crore.
Other developers to have joined hands with Snapdeal are Mumbai-based Godrej Properties and Pune-based Kolte Patil.
